鲁米全名莫拉维.贾拉鲁丁.鲁米出生于1207年9月30日，“鲁米”的意思是来自东罗马帝国（土耳其称之为鲁姆）。他的诗歌直击事物表象，到达灵魂深处，对很多人影响至深。但丁、歌德、黑格尔、泰戈尔等都受其影响，他被联合国誉为“属于整个全人类的伟大的人文主义者、哲学家和诗人”。
