大卫·尼克斯，1966年出生，是英国著名编剧、畅销作家。大学毕业后从事音乐剧编辑、演员。小说处女作《恋爱学分》名列2004年“理查与朱迪”俱乐部选书第一名，并于2006年改编成电影。第二部小说《一天》刚一出版便大受好评，仅英国便售百万册。
